In
1971, Nissim Mossek, then a young film editor, met the Israeli
Black Panthers for the first time. The protest movement, born
in the poorer Moroccan neighbor-hoods of Jerusalem, captured
the public's attention with its anti-establishment goals and
sometimes violent means. Mossek began documenting their lively
protest. Within a couple of years, though, the movement was
already crumbling, and the film became a testimony to its
demise. 30 years later, Mossek goes on a quest into the old
Jerusalem neighborhoods in search of the Panthers and other
characters from the original film.
